Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Requirements

  • The minimum admission requirement for International Relations discipline is a pass at credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or GCE ‘O’ level in five subjects including Mathematics, English language, Government or History and other two subjects.
  • Candidates are also required to have acceptable scores in UTME.

Direct Entry Requirements

  • Candidates seeking direct entry admission into the department shall be expected to satisfy the minimum entry requirements of 5-credit level passes (including English, Mathematics and Government or History) in the senior school certificate examination of the WAEC or the general certificate of education or their equivalents.
  • They should also be holders of the National Diploma (at least merit pass), National Certificate in Education (NCE) in relevant courses or two advanced level papers in GCE.

Inter-University Transfers

  • Tranfers are accepted into the department for candidates who meet the minimum admission requirements.
  • Such candidates should submit official transcripts of their academic records directly to the University. Admission here is usually into the 200 level classes. Intra University transfers must:
    • Must meet minimum departmental admission requirements
    • Must meet the required GPA requirements as established by the department of International Relations.

Mode of Application for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Undergraduates

  1. All prospective undergraduates who scored up to 140 in the most recent JAMB UTME are qualified to apply including those who did not choose madonna as first choice.
  2. The stipulated cut-off mark applies to all other courses except Law (200), Medicine (200), Pharmacy (200) and Nursing (200).
  3. Candidates awaiting SSCE result or its equivalent are also eligible to apply for admission provided the result will be available on resumption.
  4. Candidates should collect Screening forms from any of our three (3) campuses or any branch of Mayfresh Mortgage Bank Nation-wide, fill and submit to the officer the form was previously obtained from.
  5. Aslo the form is available online at Fresh Applicants. Open this llink, fill and submit the form online and wait for responses from the university admission office.
  6. Note: Screening and Admission forms are FREE

All intending Candidates must undergo medical examination in Madonna University Medical Centres on payment of necessary medical fees.
