Course Entry/Admission Requirements for BSc in Forestry & Wildlife Management at Federal University Wukari

The requirements for 100 Level Admission is as follow:

  • Five subjects at credit level, at not more than two sittings including (Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Sciences and Physics/Geography ) in GCE O’Levels, Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO) or National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB)
  • In  addition the candidate must obtain the minimum cut-off marks in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as approved by the national body in that specific year of examination

UTME Subjects combination

  • English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Physics/ Geography.

Post UTME Screening

All candidates seeking admission into the Department are required to pass the University Post UTME Screening tests and also score the approved cut-off marks for the programme before they can be admitted.

Requirements for Direct Entry Admission are as follow:

  • At least 2 ‘A’ Level passes at GCE or its equivalent in relevant subjects (Chemistry is compulsory)
  • OND/ND (with overall Upper Credit grade/class) and provided that such candidates also satisfy the admission requirements through UTME in relevant O’ Levels subjects
  • HND or NCE at credit level in relevant subjects may be admitted into 200- Level. Direct entry candidates must also have credit level passes in the five subjects required for UTME admission and satisfy all other admission requirements through UTME. In this case, they may complete the degree program in three or four years depending on their qualifications
  • For Holders of HND they will normally be admitted to 200 Levels but may  be exempted from the 6 months practical (SIWES)
