Course Entry/Admission Requirements for BSc in Animal Science at Babcock University

Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Requirements

  • To be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Agriculture Program in Animal Science of Babcock University, five O’ Level Credits in Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English and Economics or any other subject of the SSSCE/GCE/NECO with at least a pass in physics, passed at not more than two sittings are required of prospective candidates.
  • The credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least a pass in Biology. In addition, prospective candidates must pass the Babcock University entrance (written and oral) examinations.

Direct Entry Requirements

Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible for admission to 200-level;

  • Those that have satisfied the above minimum ‘O’ level conditions for admission, and in addition have a minimum of two passes at the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level or its equivalent in Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology/Agricultural Science.

  • Those that have satisfied the above minimum ‘O’ level conditions for admission, and in addition have obtained the National Diploma (ND) in Animal Health and Production with a minimum of upper credit (60-69%), are eligible for direct entry into the five year course. The ND must be obtained from a School or College accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and recognized by the University.

  • Those that have satisfied the above minimum ‘O’ level conditions for admission, and in addition have obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE) with a minimum of credit grade (60-69%) from a Nigerian College of Education recognized by the University, and with relevant subject combinations from among: Agricultural Science, Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.

  • Those that have satisfied the above minimum ‘O’ level conditions for admission, and in addition have obtained the Higher National Diploma (HND) Animal Production, with a minimum of upper credit (60-69%) in relevant fields (as listed above) and from Schools or Colleges accredited by the NBTE and recognized by the University are eligible for admission into 200 level.

After completion and submission of your Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)/Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) FORM

Click on "Click to start application" button to create login details with a valid email address and telephone number to obtain your Password Admission Application

Step 2:  Log-in with your Username as your email address and Password as sent to the email address supplied in step 1.

To login click on the "Click to start application" button and then select Login here

Step 3: Filling the form:

  • Click to fill Form. Make sure you fill all information requested for.
  • Click button to save form if you have filled every information.
  • Upload your Passport Photograph according to the specified size, and JPG or PNG format.
  • Select Screening Centre and Date of Screening.

Payments: Take the APPLICATION ID to the bank (Wema, Diamond, GTB, FirstBank, UBA). Tell the Teller you are paying for Babcock Application Fees via eTranzact platform. The fee is ₦2,000.00. Service charge is ₦350.00. Total ₦2,350.00.

Step 4: Once payment is done, then log in to the application system and Click Submit.

Step 5: Follow all instructions on the left menu, and be sure you print your completed Application Form
