Course Entry/Admission Requirements for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) at Ahmadu Bello University

The Faculty of Medicine offers courses of instruction leading to the award of the degree MBBS degree. Candidates for admission into the program must have Obtained the following qualifications:

  1.  Passes at credits level in at least 5 Ordinary Level subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English Language.
  2.  Candidates entering into 100 level from School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS) of ABU must in addition to the general O’Level requirements, have a good CGPA and must have at least a C grade in the pre-requisite subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
  3. Candidates seeking direct entry to 200 levels must have passed at I A/Level subjects in Biology Chemistry and Physic together with 5   O/level passes at credit level (including Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, English Language and Mathematics).
  4. Qualification equivalent to (A) and (C) above such as London GCE O/Level and A/Level, Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB).

Undergraduate Application

Step 2: Transaction ID:

You should print the Transaction ID slip generated in this step.

Go to a designated bank to make payment.

You can only continue with other steps of the application after making payment.

Step 3: Biodata: Enter additional data about yourself as required.

Step 4: Programme:

Select the Programme of study you are applying for.

Consult with the school, institute, centre or department concerned if you are not sure.

Step 5: O-Levels:

This is where you should enter your O-Level results.

A maximum of two sittings are allowed.

You should enter a minimum of five subjects before you can proceed to the next step.

Step 6: A-Levels (for those applying for LVT or Sasakawa programmes).

Step 7: Passport-size photograph upload.

Step 8: Declaration.

Step 9: Completion:

Review all information you entered before submitting your form.

You CANNOT edit your form once you have submitted at the last, final step!
