Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Requirements

• Candidates for the 5-year programme in Chemical Engineering normally seek admission through UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
• Such candidate should pass 5 subjects at credit level, in SSCE or GCE, which MUST include English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other relevant science subject(s).

Direct Entry

• Candidate for Direct Entry programme in Chemical Engineering should in addition to the above requirements possess acceptable advanced qualification like (G.C.E) ‘A’level, HND, OND in same programme or related field.
• OND holder will be admitted into year two, while HND holder will be admitted into year three.

Inter-University/Inter-Departmental Transfer

1. Any student of this Faculty can seek transfer into another Faculty, department or programme after at least one academic year in the Faculty provided the student satisfies the admission requirements of the new Faculty/ department.
2. No transfer shall, however, be allowed into the first or final year of any programme.
3. For all transfers, a candidate shall;
   •  Have obtained a CGPA of not less than 1.00.
   • All students for transfer are expected to apply to the registrar on the prescribed form enclosing photocopies of qualifying certificate (s), and satisfied statements of results for all semesters spent so far;
   • Meet the admission requirements applicable to the year of study of the programme into which he or she seeks transfer.
   • Satisfy the faculty/departmental transfer requirements.
   • Earn waivers for only those relevant courses passed in his former department
   • Collect from the admission office a transfer letter stating the new programme, the approved year of study, and courses from which waivers had been granted.
   • All completed transfer forms shall be processed by the faculty and departmental boards involved in the transfer, to waivers and years of study.
   • All cases of transfer shall be presented to the senate for consideration and approval.
   • All transfer shall be completed before the registration week of each academic session.
   • On registration, the candidate shall be issued a new registration number by the registrar.

Mode of Application for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Undergraduates

1. All prospective undergraduates who scored up to 140 in the most recent JAMB UTME are qualified to apply including those who did not choose madonna as first choice.
2. The stipulated cut-off mark applies to all other courses except Law (200), Medicine (200), Pharmacy (200) and Nursing (200).
3. Candidates awaiting SSCE result or its equivalent are also eligible to apply for admission provided the result will be available on resumption.
4. Candidates should collect Screening forms from any of our three (3) campuses or any branch of Mayfresh Mortgage Bank Nation-wide, fill and submit to the officer the form was previously obtained from.
5. Aslo the form is available online at Fresh Applicants. Open this llink, fill and submit the form online and wait for responses from the university admission office.
6. Note: Screening and Admission forms are FREE

All intending Candidates must undergo medical examination in Madonna University Medical Centres on payment of necessary medical fees.

All completed Admission forms should be submitted to the Admissions Officer or Office of the Registrar, in any of our three (3) campuses, any of Mayfresh Mortgage Bank Nation-wide or electronically through fresh applicants link.
