1. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Requirements
(a) O’ Level subjects

Candidates must have at least five (5) credits at the SSCE (or its equivalents) in English Language and any other four subjects chosen from Social Sciences, Arts and Natural Sciences at not more than two sittings.
While a Credit pass in Music at SSCE level is not mandatory it is desirable.
A minimum of Grade 5 Certificate of the Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM), Mountain Top International Music School (MIMS), Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) or Trinity College of Music (TCM) will be considered as an equivalent of an SSCE Music credit pass.

(b) UTME Subjects

English Language, and any other three subjects

2. Direct Entry

Two A Level passes including Music.
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible to apply for admission into 2nd year of the Music Programme:
• Joint University Provisional Examination Board (JUPEB) – Music
• OND from a recognized institution with a minimum of Upper Credit
• NCE (Music Major) not less than Merit
Candidates with minimum of Grade 7 Certificate from any of the following bodies: Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM), Mountain Top International Music School (MIMS), Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) or Trinity College of Music (TCM) may also be considered.

3. Conversion Programme

For admission into the Conversion Programme (3rd year of the Bachelors Music Programme), MTU will consider candidates with the following qualifications:
• Distinction in Music at HND Level
• Diploma Certificate from the following institutions:
• Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM), Mountaintop International Music School (MIMS), Music Society of Nigeria (MUSON), Trinity College of Music (TCM) or from other recognized institutions.
The basic entry requirements of ‘O’ level credits in 5 subjects including English language must be satisfied by ALL applicants.

Undergraduate Application

Step 2 – Click Start Fresh Application
Step 3 – Select the “Application Type” and complete the form then click “continue”
Step 4 – Note your “Payment Voucher” and print out your payment advice.
Step 5 – Kindly make payment by clicking the “Pay Online” if you want to pay online or by printing out the payment voucher containing Payment Reference Number for payment at any commercial bank in Nigeria listed below.

Step 6 – After payment, return to the Mountain Top University Portal,
Step 7 – Click “Prospective Student”
Step 8 – Click the “Apply Now” link under the Student Menu
Step 9 – Click Continue Application
Step 10 – Complete the Application form and Print out then await Screening Date via Email and SMS.
